Thread: is there a way to keep FLV video files encrypted on disk?

Default is there a way to keep FLV video files encrypted on disk?

    Hi,

I'm using Wowza 2 to stream FLV video for health applications with Wowza RTMPE. The health privacy law asks that data is encrypted during storage as well as transmission. Is there a way for Wowza to keep the video files on disk in an encrypted format (rather than encrypting/decrypting for streaming only)?

The solution will need to work both for video streamed to Wowza as it is recorded, and video that is recorded elsewhere and imported.

    Thanks,
    Peter

    Peter,

I don't think there is a way to do this, but I will check.

The easiest way would be to use an encrypted file system.
