    Default Vovotek IP8362 broken stream

    Hello

    I have problem with ip-cam Vivotek IP8362.
    The video is broken.
    The view: http://zicol.linkdirect.pl/stream7/index2.html

When I using preview on cam-www or VLC - everything is ok.
    I use "Wowza Media Server 3 Trial Edition (Expires: Mar 31, 2012) 3.0.5 build1220".
Other Vivotek cam (1MP) works ok.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

This camera supports AAC or G.711 audio. Make sure it is using AAC for use with Wowza.

    Hi zicman,

Can you provide more detail? What exactly is the problem? Is it that you can re-stream the camera using Wowza, but the video looks corrupted?

What is the output of Tools->Codec Information when you view the camera stream directly with VLC? What is the stream URI you are using to access the camera? What tutorials have your followed? What exactly are the camera settings? You can try adjusting them, codec, bitrate, keyframe interval, etc. What is the difference between the two cameras?

    The source stream: rtsp://78.9.170.6/live4.sdp
Codec: H264 - MPEG4-4 AVC (part10)(h264), Audio codec i AAC (and is muted).
    The other camera is FD8134.
    Current parameters:
    H.264
    Frame size: 640x360
    Maximum frame rate: 20
    Intra frame period: 1.4 S
    Constant bit rate: 1Mbps

Changes in the parameters do not give any results.

Config of the Wowza based on RTSP tutorial.

    zicman,

Not too sure. I can restream your link just fine on Wowza 3.0.5. I create a file a.stream in my content dir containing: rtsp://78.9.170.6/live4.sdp. I start the stream in stream manager.

And play in the LiveVideoStreaming client with:
    Server: rtmp:/localhost/live
    Stream: a.stream

Played in Firefox 10.0.2, Flash 11.1.102.63

    Or VLC with: rtsp://localhost:1935/live/a.stream

Perhaps it's an issue with your player.

It is just the default Application.xml with streamtype set to "live":

-I used RTMP in the flash player and RTSP in VLC.

    Tested Application.xml is also default.
Tested on: http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp/ - the same result.
Tested local on VLC (rtsp://localhost:1935/live_stream/camera.stream - same result.
So it is obviously a problem with the configuration.

I've tested your stream in the SimpleVideoStreaming example:
    Server: rtmp://78.9.169.117:1935/live_cam/
    Stream: client.stream

And I see the same corruption.

However, as I said, it works fine when I restream directly from your camera as you can see here: http://oi42.tinypic.com/2kl9qq.jpg

So, I think you're right. It must be a configuration issue. Have you edited any other settings? I would try uninstalling Wowza, (delete or rename the Wowza folder to ensure there are no left over conf files) and reinstall version 3.0.5. Follow the steps I mentioned here: http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthre...8610#post88610

One thing that seems off is you mentioned the camera resolution was 640/360. But VLC reports it is 1920/1080 when I play the stream you mentioned: rtsp://78.9.170.6/live4.sdp

What is the contents of your camera.stream file? I wonder if we are playing the same stream.

If you still can't get it sorted out after a fresh install, zip up your conf and logs folders, and your camera.stream file and send it to support@wowza.com. Include a link to this thread for reference.
