Question Videos when there's no live

    Hello,

Thanks to your help on my last post, things are working well and we're happy to use Wowza. But I still have a question. Our previous custom video player, made by a student with flash technology, was able to display videos when there was no live event broadcasted. Is it possible with our new combo Wowza + JW Player. Basicaly we would like to play one or more videos la vod, and when a live event is occuring and thus detected by Wowza (?), the live is shown instead of the videos.

Thanks for any advices on the subject

This JW Player plugin does half of what you are describing, waits for a live stream:

There are server-side ways to do this too, for example:

Also, this might be blended with previous example so you can control switching:

    Hello,

Thanks for your answer. I've started working on something with the JWPlayer plugin you indicated, it's like it's gonna work fine with what we want to achieve. I should have find this one by myself, I forgot to look that way

    Cheers,

    Fred
