    Thumbs up Looking for guidance..

I am using a 10x10 mbs for my internet connection from cable vision in the Bronx.
    My server:
    dual 2.4 gigahertz processor
8 gigs of ecc memory up grading to 16 shortly
raid 1 two 18 gig scsi
raid 5 three 36 gig scsi
    2 onboard gigabit nics
    1 pci gigabit nic

    Purpose:
This server is going to power a live video window(tv) for 4 websites(sharing) and hopefully 4 shoutcast instances of 24 hour countinous streams

What is the best configuration for this hardware (os 2003 or 2008 64 bit) using existing hardware as seen?

Also i would like to run 4 shoutcast instances and how would it affect the bandwidth for streaming.

I think we mostly answered this yesterday here:

Everything you stream in or out on your network will use the available throughput.

    Hey richard,

Yes, what I said still holds:
    ....bandwidth/bitrate, assuming a good machine.
Your bandwidth is 10mbs * .8 = 8mbs throughput (minus 20% overhead), which is not much.
