Exclamation Listener: stream came to Wowza

    Hi!
We use Wowza ver 3 for showing live stream video from cameras (rtp).
The problem is that stream from a camera goes to Wowza about 60 sec (buffering on our "special" cameras and etc)
So we want to use some listener on Wowza which is executed when the stream comes to Wowza
so our client player will be switched from mode of showing advertising/saver to showing the stream.

At the moment we perform the stream in the following way:

HTTProvider2Base in onHTTPRequest it creates SDP file and executes appInstance.startMediaCasterStream(streamID, "rtp-lowlatency")

I tried to use IMediaStreamActionNotify.onPublish() but it is called even when camera is switched off

There is not a way to do pre-roll for RTSP client with Wowza.

It won't help, but the equivalent notifier for RTSP IMediaCasterNotify2

Richard, please correct me if I am wrong:

It is impossible to know on Wowza server side when stream comes to Wowza.
It can be done only on client player side, like this

Unfortunately, we have no ability to make changes in our player-(

JW Player is a Flash RTMP client, not RTSP. You can use IMediaStreamActionNotify3 in that case.

Richard, I don't understand: why did you mention IMediaStreamActionNotify3 if, anyway, it is not possible to do it on wowza server side?

I'm lost, sorry. What are you doing, what do you need to happen and what is the problem? Please explain in detail. You mention RTSP clients, then JW Player which does not support RTSP because it is a Flash player.

    Please, forget about JWPlayer.
We need a listener when rtp stream data from camera comes to wowza, this moment is described in wowza logs by the following:

So you mean a stream from an IP camera that you are starting in StreamManager or StartUpStreams.xml? In that case, use

    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....otify2-example

    IMediaCasterNotify2.onStreamStart helps, thank you.
But as I see from logs, onStreamStart sometimes is called two or three times. Why?
