Thread: server side play stream with liverepeater-edge application

  1. #1

    Default server side play stream with liverepeater-edge application

    I have liverepeater-edge application, which I use for retranslations streams from other servers. I play stream with wowza example live client (examples/LiveVideoStreaming/Client/live.swf), i set stream name "rtmp://host/app/stream" and it plays stream from other host. But i want that it stream plays in my other application on same wowza server (liverepeater-origin). For that i use PushPublishRTMP class, but.. how can i create stream by server on application liverepeater-edge for publish it to liverepeater-origin.. I tried that :
    		Stream stream = Stream.createInstance(appInstance, "4444");
    		stream.play("rtmp://host/app/stream", -2, -1, true);
    but it doesn't work.
    Help me please

    To do this, first use a .stream file to contain the rtmp url of the origin. Then you must start that stream in StreamManager with MediaCaster type "liverepeater". Then you can use it in a Stream class stream the way you are showing

    How can i do this (start that stream in StreamManager with MediaCaster type "liverepeater") programmatically? I need to do this without StreamManager..

    You can also use MediaCaster API in an app Module or HTTPProvider
