    Default dynamic streaming with jwplayer 5.9

    Is there anything to be done on wowza's side?
    Settings or properties to be added or changed?

    I looked at the articles and the forum but can't find anything which needs to be done with wowza 3.0.5.

    You need key frame aligned multi-bitrate streams, same requirement as other form.

    You can leverage your server-side smil with this technique:

    Well! I didn't use server-side smil. And still, it works like a charm!
    Are you sure we need that?

    This is how my playlist item looks like:
    <item>
    <media:title> LIVE</media:title>
    <media:group>
    <media:content bitrate="600" width="960" url="streamHigh"></media:content>
    <media:content bitrate="200" width="640" url="streamLow"></media:content>
    </media:group>

    <jwplayer:provider>rtmp</jwplayer:provider>
    <jwplayer:streamer>rtmp://[wowza-ip-address]/live</jwplayer:streamer>
    <jwplayer:type>rtmp</jwplayer:type>
    </item>

    No, you don't need it, you can do it like that if you prefer
