    Default Limiting connections

    We are a very small operation with only a 10Mbps connection (on a good day...), so I wanted to limit our number of concurrent connections to about 10 (we only do videos on demand - and I encode our mp4 at a 600kbps CBR).

    I modified the VHosts file specifying a connection limit to 10, but when I do the Wowza startup, the console message still says: "Maximum Connections: Unlimited"

    What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    P.S. I apologize if this issue has been dealt with before...

    That message is regarding the license limit. The number you set in VHosts.xml should work as expected

    Default

    Yes, in /conf/VHosts.xml /ConnectionLimit. (not VHost.xml)

    The default "0" means no limit.

    <Root>
    	<VHosts>
    		<VHost>
    			<Name>_defaultVHost_</Name>
    			<ConfigDir>${com.wowza.wms.ConfigHome}</ConfigDir>
    			<ConnectionLimit>0</ConnectionLimit>
    		</VHost>
    	</VHosts>
    </Root>
