Thread: Problem recording Live Stream Record Module w/ instance names

Default Problem recording Live Stream Record Module w/ instance names

I am trying to record a live stream using the Live Stream Record module using HTTP Provider.

It works fine if I am using a single app name like "live" but it is not recording if the app name is something like "live/instance1"

    For example, this works:
    http://localhost:8086/livestreamrecord?app=live&streamname=stream1&action=startRecording&append=false&format=0&startonkeyframe=true
    but this does not:
    http://localhost:8086/livestreamrecord?app=live/instance1&streamname=stream1&action=startRecording&append=false&format=0&startonkeyframe=true
    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
The provider doesn't support the specification of the app instance as is.
You'll need to modify the provider code to add the extra variable to support this.

The following thread discusses how to do this:

Code is provided at the end of the thread.
