    Default redirect stream from ipcam

    Hi all,
    i'm using an ipcam axis m1011w that streams a RTP/RTSP flow on 10.0.0.1 address.

    My idea is to "capture" the rtsp/rtp ipcam flow, extract the RTP and send it to a rtp receiver java-based.

    Is wowza server suitable for this task?

    Thx in advance

    Mario

    Mario,

    Maybe this will work for you:

    Hi Richard,
    thanks for your fast reply.

    Following the URL suggested by you i found RTPPusher plugin that seems suitable for my purpose.
    My idea is to use Wowza server to capture a rtp/rtsp stream from an axis ipcam (ip addr: 10.0.0.95).
    After captured this video (it works well because pointing directly wowza from vlc i can see the ipcam stream)
    i want to send it to another ip address (let's say 10.0.0.10).

    So,
    in the web screen of RTPPusher i've set:
    IP:10.0.0.10
    video port=10000
    audio=10001
    server=wowza_ip

    I click on "start stream" and in the panel on top i see: "Active: mystream: 10.0.0.10(10000:10001)".

    The problem is that the ip 10.0.0.10 does not receive anything (firewall/antivirus disabled). Using wireshark on this machine i've seen that no packets are sent from wowza to 10.0.0.10 !

    Have you some suggestion for me?

    Make sure those udp ports are open between the source and destination. Try sending local 127.0.0.1

    Also, give that multicast addon a try. It pretty much does the same things, but is easier to use.
