Thread: RTP/IdleFrequency

    Default RTP/IdleFrequency

    Hi,

I don't understand the meaning of RTP/IdleFrequency in application.xml. The documentation defines it as:

"The time in milliseconds between RTP idle events. Idle events are used to send new media data and events to an RTP or MPEG-TS session."

but that second sentence is complete gibberish to me. Can you please explain it in a different way?

    Thanks,
    Gili

    Gili,

What are you trying to accomplish?

    Hi Richard,

I'm building a video chat application. In the process of setting this up I'd like to understand each configuration option to make sure I'm using the correct value as well as finding out what functionality is available.

    Thanks,
    Gili

I am also interested in this option.
I am trying to achieve better tolerance from Wowza when receiving live RTP over HTTP stream from VLC, e.g. not to unpublish the stream, when small network intermittence occurs.
