Default Ec2 Throughput for data out or in + out

    Hello,

I know that a small instance is capable of handling 150mbps. I am wondering if this is the output bandwidth or input + output.
Let me explain we have an application where each user is watching his/her own stream. i.e. for 100 users there are 100 different streams.
    Each stream is 300kbps.
In this case is the number of users i can support 500 (300kbps data out * 500=150Mbps)
    OR 250 (300kbps data in * 250 + 300kbps data out * 250=150Mbps)

    Regards,

    Özgür,

As far as I know, the 150mbs throughput for the m1.small is total. I.e., if you have 75mbs data coming in and 75mbs data out, you will be at capacity.
