    What do you guys think about

    mounting amazon s3 bucket via s3fs and streaming from there with wowza

    We don't advice using it that way, but we do have a way of utilizing s3fs and s3.

    Setup:

    I a newbie at this so let me explain in details what I am trying to do and you tell me your suggestions or pros and cons

    I want to buy a dedicated server, mount s3 using s3fs so that it acts as a drive, then stream only on demand video from the mounted disk with wowza

    still not recommended?

    You can try it. Should work with small files anyway. Or try the way I showed you if it doesn't work.

    Thanks, I will. What about videos with duration about 70 minutes??

    Also I know amazon serve files according to where user to located. Now if I stream it from s3fs on my dedicated server, will it keep streaming from a datacenter close to the server?

    I have you showed the recommended method. You have select your bucket locations and instance locations to have then nearby.
