I am trying to make a live stream. I have setup everything and I am trying to figure out a way in order to do the following.
-- The Instance/Stream ID is hidden. I want is to be used sort of like a token or a password. Only people who are broadcasting should know it. Therefore, on my website, how would I connect JwPlayer or Flowplayer to it, without showing the stream id/instance. Or... Is there another way of doing this.
Basically, I just want to protect who can stream to the app. As I am having multiple people streaming, I would like to make sure they cant stream to each others streams.
Use http://www.wowza.com/forums/content.php?116 to connect the web interface to the stream. My only issue is this. Am I able to make it so that the alias only works for people playing the stream, and not people actually broadcasting. For example, I make an alias so that "/app/main" points to "/app/live_token_id_4395". However, in order to actually broadcast, you would have to use "/app/live_token_id_4395" and not "/app/main".
Basically, what I want is for the stream id/instance to be hidden and secure, so only the person broadcasting it, knows it. The only Issue I have with this, is that when we are connecting the website to the stream, we would need the stream id/instance to be shown, therefore, making it public.
Is there any way on wowza's side to make it so the person publishing can connect to rtmp://ip.address/live/streamid and the player will connect to lets say "rtmp://ip.address/connect/differentstreamid".
