Exclamation WOWZA DVR playing using FLVplayback 2.5 or FLVplayback - NOT WORKING

    Hello Guys,

I already tried so many options and did so many searches trying to find a way to use my FLVplayback player work with Wowza DVR and I didn't had any success. I tried using the OLD FLVplayback and also the NEW FLVplayback 2.5. After all my frustration I just remember to ask you guys if it is possible and if yes how can I make it work?

    Thanks in advanced!

nDVR works with HTTP Streaming only

Hi Scott, thank you for your reply, I know it just work with http and I tried to use the http flash based option from wowza. So you want to say that the FLVplayback do not work with http based system? FLVplayback have DVR option that works with FMS.

I have wowza with nDVR and I have FLVplayback 2.5 have any option or way to make it work? I can use any settings.

    Carlos,

You can take a look at the source code for one of the OSMF Wowza example players. You might be able to get some insight for configuring your custom player for HTTP San Jose streaming.

    Hi Randall,

Thank you for your reply, I already checked and try to use OSMF, but in my situation today will be much better if it work on FLVplayback 2.5. Do you know if FLVplayback / FLVplayback 2.5 work with wowza nDVR? If not, I will have to find another way and start my player again from scratch. If FLVplayback / FLVplayback 2.5 work with wowza nDVR will save me a lot of hours.

    Thanks,
    C

If it is able to play one of the HTTP stream types, like Smooth, San Jose, or Cupertino, then it should be able to work with the Wowza DVR.

Test by following the Playback section in the VOD Tutorial.

I'm pretty sure the Flash FLVPlayback component will only do progressive download and rtmp, so it doesn't support nDVR which requires HTTP streaming.
