Default Same directory for RTMP VOD and VOD to iOS Devices

We are wanting to create a setup so that can share one directory of videos for RTMP VOD and VOD to iOS devices. I have gotten it to work but I am wondering if there are any security problems with this approach? I do know that I should make sure that there is no directory browsing allowed but is there anything else I should do?

I did some searching and found this article:

    http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthre...ared+directory

Where Richard said to use this format:

    http://64.119.133.84:1935/spotvault_.../playlist.m3u8

    Where spotvault_vod is a directory

    I tried this:

    http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/streamingvide.../playlist.m3u8

Where streamingvideo is the application for VOD. This seems to work also but then again are there any security risk with this method?

To the question of security in multiple application using the same StorageDir location. I don't know of any issue.

"spotvault_vod" is an application name in that URL not a folder.

Do you need to have _definst_ in the URL? My URL seems to work without it.

If HD is a subfolder of the StorageDir location, then you might need it, unless your player is doing a good job of separating connection string from stream name, which is possible since the mp4: prefix shows where to
