Default Difference between live and liverepeater

    Hi,

I'm wondering where the differences between [rtp-]live and liverepeater-{edge,origin} streamtypes are.

An edge/origin configuration should be possible using [rtp-]live streams, right? What are the benefits of using the repeater types?

You can compare StreamType configurations in /conf/Streams.xml

liverepeater types are tuned for that purpose, but you can use StreamType "live" or "rtp-live" on a origin.

On an edge you can use StreamType "live" on an edge, and start an origin stream in StreamManager or /conf/StartUpStreams.xml with MediaCaster type "liverepeater".

    Followup question:

where can I find information on the various stream parameters, like instantOn or flushInterval?

For RT[S]P origins I cannot use liverepeater-origin, is that correct?
