Question Microsoft Media Foundation - RTSP stream

    Hi Guys,

I have an existing Microsoft Media Foundation based media player that I would like to accept a Wowza RTSP stream.

Microsoft claims that Media Foundation has support for RTSP out of the box, however we are currently having issues.

Has anyone else had experience with this?

    Kind regards,

    Stefan

What player is it, where can I find it to test?

    Hi Richard,

The player is our own proprietary software, and is not currently in the public domain. The question was meant to more as a general query into Media Foundations handling of Wowza RTSP streams.

I should note that we are using H.264/MPEG-4 AVC files.

    Regards,

    Stefan

    Stefan,

Windows Media Player is not supported, and I do not know if a Media Foundation player will work. I would try rtsp, cupertino and smooth.

    Thanks Richard,

After further investigation; it seems that although Microsoft Media Foundation has support for RTSP streams, it only has support for ASF and MP3 packet loads. A workaround would be to create an MP4 media source for RTSP... it looks like I have my work cut out for me.

    Regards,

    Stefan
