Default How to identify a camera which connects to Wowza

For a new project we have a set-up where multiple users can connect their IP camera to the Wowza server. After we have connected the IP camera we can make backups and live view option on the iPhone. The user need to create an account on the websites, after the account is created he needs to fill in some kind of camera ID or Serial number.

While connecting the RTSP stream to Wowza we need to make an option where we connect multiple camera's to the account of the user. But to make the connection to the user we need a unique identifier per camera.

Can someone tell me if this kind of data is send in the RTSP stream information? I know we have an IP adres, but this can change and is not safe enough. We need to identitfy the specific camera where the users needs to add it to his account.

    Thank you!

You can use a .stream file which would give you a unique stream name which would also include the IP address of the stream.

    Where :
    Server: rtmp://[wowza-address]/live
The stream name could contain the user name if this is unique to sign up for your service.

    Example :
    Server: rtmp://[wowza-address]/live
