    Hi,

We are using Cisco AS6000 Series Media Processor to publish a RTMP stream to the Wowza Media Server.
i followed the following guide to configure the Wowza.
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....-based-encoder

After starting the Wowza and the encoder, we still cannot watch the live stream in Iphone.
The following is the output message from Wowza.

    Jason,

The logs show hkc_news_9 being published, then packetized for sanjose and cupertino streaming, then it is stopped. After it is stopped there is an attempt to play hkc_news_9

    Hi Richard,

Since the encoder is keep publishing the hkc_news_9 to the Wowza, I did not stop the enocder. I don't know why Wowza can not receive the stream.

    Thanks,

    Hi Richard,

I found that when i restart the encoder, the hkc_news_9 can be published once, after the first publishing, it is stopped. The encoder show the error message "connection timeout" with the Wowza Server. But i can ping the the encoder's from Wowza. Since the Wowza server has two Network interfaces. Eth0 is local IP which receiving the incoming steam from Encoder and ETH1 is public IP which is used for streaming out to the cloud. Is this the reason to cause the connection timeout problem since i do not change any configuration in VHost.xml file.

    Thasnks

    Jason,

I'm not sure why the encoder would timeout. Are there any custom modules enabled in the Application.xml? It does not look like, no log output to indicate any.

Looking back at the log snip above, it looks fine, there is a publish event, and packetizing begins, then it stops. After that you try to play it, but it is gone already.

    Hi
It may be that the encoder is connecting but not sending the data.
The iOS device can connect but doesn't receive any packetization as if the stream doesn't exist.

Can you play the stream with any other device/players?

    Jason
