    Default ConnectionCounts per stream

    Hi,

I want to show a graph with the total number of connections per stream in the last 10 minutes.
As connectioncounts.xml returns the number of current connections it doesn't seem the best way to provide accurate statistics,
In that case I guess I should parse the log data (play events), isn't it? Suggestions are welcome.

    Regards, nvezes

The best way to do that would be to cut the log files on that time frame, then look at that slice in Sawmill. Another approach is to poll connectioncounts from your app server and build a data set.

    Richard,

I just want to know what was the maximun number of connections for a specific stream after every 10 minutes.

How often can I request conectioncounts without cause ovehead to wowza (every 30 s)?
So, I could cache the number of connections (save the highest) per stream as you suggested. It is not 100% accurate but it may good enough.

    Thank you

I'm sure you can do it much more often than every 30 seconds without significant overhead.
