Question Live streaming: streammanager, block other source

    Hi!

    I'm in a strange situation.
Before, with wowza 2, when I started a trasmission with wirecast to my wowza server I need to login to my streammanager webpage and complete the info to "load" the file .stream to begin the live session. (I don't use the automatic startup .xml config)

Now with wowza 3 when I begin the trasmission from wirecast to wowza I can see the live stream without any intervention of my side.
No ".stream" file on the content folder exist... the stream start immediately.

I'm wrong? A mis configuration? How can I continue to use the streammanager webpage?

    Security question:

How can I set my wowza to receive live streaming only from certain source?
I need to use the publish.password? Other setup?

    Regards

    Mount

    Hi
You don't need a .stream file to publish to a live application.
You can find the tutorial on live streaming from an RTMP based encoder here,
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....-based-encoder

If you want to add security by adding an authentication method to the publisher you can follow this tutorial,
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....RTMP-and-RTSP)

If your encoder doesn't support the pop-up user/password method you can use url authentication,
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....cureURLParams)

The publish.password is covered in both tutorials.
