    Default Live Streaming - iOS

    Dear,

I follow with difficulties to perform a live streaming to mobile devices.
I'm doing tests with Wirecast encoder and desktop via streaming flash works normally.
Using the Safari browser, for example, accessing it asks to save the file directly and not run the streaming.

example link to access by mobile devices iOS
    <a href="http://mycompany:1935/live/teste.sdp/playlist.m3u8">For Iphone and Ipad click here</a>

    Hi
Do you have difficulty using the simple players that ships with Wowza?
It's suggested that you start with these so we know that the problem is not a player issue.

If you use the iPhone/iPad browser and type "http://[Wowza-IP]:1935/live/teste/playlist.m3u8" do you get the stream from your encoder?
You have an application called "live" and a stream called "teste"

Yes I'm using the app "live"
    And the stream is "teste"

Here are the main features that the application:
    <LiveStreamPacketizers>cupertinostreamingpacketizer,smoothstreamingpacketizer,sanjosestreamingpacket izer</LiveStreamPacketizers>

    <HTTPStreamers>cupertinostreaming,smoothstreaming,sanjosestreaming</HTTPStreamers>

    <RTSPBindIpAddress>[Wowza-IP]</RTSPBindIpAddress>
    <RTSPConnectionIpAddress>[Wowza-IP]</RTSPConnectionIpAddress>
    <RTSPOriginIpAddress>[Wowza-IP]</RTSPOriginIpAddress>

    <Authentication>
    <PublishMethod>digest</PublishMethod>
    <PlayMethod>none</PlayMethod>

Tests performed in the "players" and the default Wowza stream "teste" functioned normally, example:
    examples>LiveVideoStreaming>client
    examples>LiveVideoStreaming>clientFlex
    examples>LiveVideoStreaming>clientOSMF
    examples>LiveVideoStreaming>clientSilverlight

However in iOS mobile devices does not work.

For iOS mobile devices have to use an encoder output with quicktime?
Is there any encoder that has this output, without being the Wirecast?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi
What do you see in the logs?
What codec is the source stream?
It should be video H.264 and audio AAC or MP3

I am using Flash Media Live Encoder
    Video
    Format: H.264
    (click on the wrench)
    Profile: Baseline
    Level: 3.0
    Keyframe: 1

    Audio:
    mp3
    Stereo
    44.1
128 (Although I used 96 and it worked just fine)

To identify if the logs are running the iOS would be the "cupertinostreamingpacketizer"

First of all, I assume that when you say you access it with the Safari browser, you are using Safari from an iOS device, correct? Because desktop Safari will just save the playlist.m3u8 file like you mention.

If you open that URL ("http://[Wowza-IP]:1935/live/teste/playlist.m3u8") on a desktop browser and save the playlist.m3u8 file, what do the contents of the file look like? Here's a valid file from my setup, streaming Flash H.264/AAC using Wirecast:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXT-X-VERSION:3
    #EXT-X-STREAM-INF:PROGRAM-ID=1,BANDWIDTH=451265,CODECS="avc1.66.30, mp4a.40.2",RESOLUTION=640x360
    chunklist.m3u8?wowzasessionid=1073965905
But if I have a bad URL, here are the contents:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXT-X-VERSION:3
    #EXT-X-STREAM-INF:PROGRAM-ID=1,BANDWIDTH=250000
    chunklist.m3u8?wowzasessionid=1778117578
Note the absence of the codec and resolution information.
