Thread: Multiple VHosts to single VHost conversion, content addressing help please

Question Multiple VHosts to single VHost conversion, content addressing help please

    Hello again.

We're considering going away from port-based VHost to a uniform storage layout.

Currently, content gets mapped in via NFS to the VHost content folders like this:
/usr/local/WowzaVHost/demo/content, where content is simply a NFS share

We're trying to achieve using subfolders in the default VHost, like this:
/usr/local/WowzamediaServer/content/demo, where demo is simply a NFS share

How would we address content in subfolders using RTMP and HLS? Example URLs, please

    Cheers,
    Martin

    Martin,

Use "_definst_" to delimit app name from path. Like this:

    http://[wowza-address]:1935/[app-name]/_definst_/mp4:subfolder/sample.mp4/playlist.m3u8

Thank you, Richard. I'll run up a test instance to try this out
