Thread: VOD using sub-directories

Default VOD using sub-directories

I have an application/configuration called "VOD" setup where the storage location in the application.xml file points to:

<StorageDir>E:\Video_Live</StorageDir>

My video files are stored in sub-directories such as:

E:\Video_Live\Directory1
E:\Video_Live\Directory2
E:\Video_Live\Directory3
E:\Video_Live\Directory4

With using Flash, I can play the files just fine by using:

Server: rtmp://[wowza-address]/VOD
Stream: Directory1/video.mov

However, it doesn't work for the m3u8 or rtsp streams:

http://[wowza-address]:1935/Director.../playlist.m3u8

rtsp://[wowza-address]:1935/Directory1/video.mov

How do I get this to work? Thanks!

Default

You forgot to add the app name, and in this case you have to add application instance part also. Like this:

http://[wowza-address]:1935/vod/_definst_/Directory1/video.mov/playlist.m3u8

Actually, I forgot to put in the application name in the example. The real code did have it. However, adding the "_definst_" is what is getting it to work now. Thanks!
