Default Connection is still alive although flash client is closed

    Hi,

we are having a serious problem that the flash plugin for some browsers (especially Chrome >21 and Safari >6.0) doesn't terminate the connection (RTMPS) to the wowza server (3.1.1) in a correct manner. The connection is still alive although the flash site is closed at the browser. We have tried to use the 'PingTimeout' for this issue but the connection won't be terminated. Is there a proper way to handle this? The correct termination handling is essential for our business and we need a fix asap.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

How are you detecting and terminating server-side? Wowza does manage these connections automatically with PingTimeout, which is configurable through Application.xml /PingTimeout and /ValidationFrequency
