Default Infinite buffering for *some* videos, not others

I'm noticing some strange behavior when I try to stream vod (or vods3) videos to ios devices.

The wowza server I have running on EC2 (WMS 3 for Amazon EC2 3.1.2 build1624) appears to send much more than 60 seconds of video, but only for some videos.

For instance, if I request a stream from 4 videos using the same player parameters:
    #1 - http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/sa...bipbopall.m3u8
    #2 - http://internal-wowza-server:1935/vo.../playlist.m3u8
    #3 - http://internal-wowza-server:1935/vo.../playlist.m3u8
    #4 - http://internal-adobe-server/hls-vod...video.mp4.m3u8

[Note that #3 and #2 are the same server, and #2 and #4 are the same video file.]

#1, #3, and #4 all buffer up to 60 seconds of video and then stop, but #2 keeps receiving bytes for as long as the video lasts (10s of minutes, often exhausting the memory of the device -- they're big videos).

I'm a newbie here - so any advice as to what would cause wowza to send so many bytes for just some videos would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Are some using these cupertino packetizing properties with non-default settings, and others not?

But in the case of #2 and #3, its the same server (hence same configuration), and the same application. So I'm wondering what would cause one video to adhere to one set of packetizing properties, and one video not to?

This behavior is occurring with no default packetizing properties changed.

FWIW - this person appeared to be encountering the same issue. Our videos also contain no audio track, which i didn't think was relevant when I asked, but might be?

I believe I've isolated the problem to videos not having an audio track.

For instance, a 5 minute test video (test.mp4) with no audio track suffers from 'infinite buffer', but adding an audio track to the video w/MP4Box

    MP4Box -new -add test.mp4 -add test_music.mp3 test_music.mp4

Yields a test_music.mp4 file that when loaded from ios does not suffer from 'infinite buffer'.

So the next thing I'll check is whether MP4Box itself is having any affect on the resulting file, but perhaps getting closer to a bug report?

    UPDATE:
I don't believe the MP4Box conversion impacts the problem. I can create audio-less files via MP4Box that still 'infinite buffer'.

    UPDATE:
Filed a bug report here: http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthre...nite-buffering
