    Default Shoutcast-record and recorded files

    Hello,

I am using wowza dvr application and shoutcast-record to allow user to listen my live session from icecast, but whenever DJ has connection isses and reconnects (or plays silence), Wowza creates another file filenam_0.mp4, which is sort of corrupt, after dj has to many such issies I am ending up with lots _x.mp4 files. Is there any way to fix this so Wowza always saves stream into one .mp4 file?

I am using this service to start and stop streaming:

There is a way to append instead of version but in your case I think it is not a good idea, because at present you have some corrupt files but some not, by appending instead of versioning you may have one large corrupt file. If there is .tmp file alongside the .mp4 file with the same name, the file is not playable and can't be fixed, they are corrupt.

For shoutcast, I don't think so. You might try wrapping the shoutcast stream in a stream class stream. I'm not certain that will help in your case but it will give you more options for switching around that might help

What particular should I be looking at? Is there anything special in this class, any event or function that I can call?

    Perhaps IShoutCastMetaDataNotify will help.
