Post Transcoding does not work over 4Mbit/s

    Hi there,

We are at this time testing the transcoder add-on but apparently, nothing goes out from our Wowza Server when we put a bitrate higher than 4Mbit/s.
    Is there any software limitation?

Does someone get this issue before?

We need to transcode and stream a high quality video.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Patrick

    Patrick,

The Transcoder cannot transcode to a higher bitrate or quality than the source stream.

    Hi Richard,

First of all, many thanks for your reply.

Our source is a 8Mbps stream, so we are trying to reduce the stream's bitrate (sorry, I was not clear in my previous post).

The point is to have a 4Mbps stream, but we get nothing from our Wowza server.

However, it works fine for a lower bitrate such as 2Mbps.

    Thanks in advance,

    Patrick

    Patrick,

On the 4mbs stream, where is the client relative to Wowza in that test? If it is remote, can you try local, i.e., same machine or machine on same lan? My thought is that it is much to high to get to the client you are testing with.
