Thread: Lip Sync Issue on LiveStreams

Post Lip Sync Issue on LiveStreams

Hello - We run WOWZA Media Server 3 on Windows 2008 R2 high end server using JVM. We use the Cisco TelePresence Content Server (TCS) as our encoder. TCS unicast's on RTMP/H.264 to the WOWZA Server and WOWZA Server Multicasts Live Streams to VLC player using RTP over RTSP / H.264.

The problem at hand is Lip Sync issue on Live Streams and the behavior is very random. FYI, the Audio comes first before the Video. Whenever we are faced with the issue, we hard-boot the WOWZA Server and everything works fine.

Quickly wanted to check on a couple of things:
    A. Is there a way to trap the issue by turning-on some specific modules/properties?
    B. How should I go about troubleshooting this issue and isolate the problem?

FYI, I have configured the Sortbuffer to 2500.

    Looking forward to your response.
