    Default live-record

    Hi

    I'm having a problem, I created an application with live-record settings, using the encoder the file is saved in the correct location, but when I try to stream this file later on, it doesn't work.

    to record:
    rtmp: rtmp://69.160.xxx.xxxx/spain
    stream name: mp4:teststream2

    the file is saved on the correct location, then I go to strobe and on video url:
    rtmp://69.160.xxx.xxxx/spain/mp4:teststream2.mp4

    doesn't work.

    Application.xml:
    <Streams>
    <StreamType>live-record</StreamType>
    <StorageDir>/home/backup/public_html</StorageDir>

    Thank you.

    Try changing the StorageDir in your /vod/Application.xml to match what you posted here. Then playback: rtmp://69.160.xxx.xxxx/vod/mp4:teststream2.mp4

    oh, I see what you mean, using two apps, one live-record and from VOD "default", but the vod with the path to the files.

    is this the only solution?

    It is the recommended way. If you only have Flash RTMP clients you can do this to change StreamType on the fly per client:
    netconnection.call("setStreamType",null, "default");
    var netstreamVOD:NetStream = new NetStream(netconnection);
    netstreamVOD.play("mp4:sample.mp4");
    Server-side example (also only works for Flash RTMP clients):
