Default apple hls stream not working after upgrade 3.5

So I upgraded my wowza server from 3.1.2 to 3.5 (on a Windows server 2008 R2 server). I opted to uninstall the old version and install 3.5. I have an mp4 file that I had been serving up VOD as both RTMP flash and Apple HLS. After the upgrade, the RTMP stream is still working but the Apple HLS is not. I am using the stock application.xml file in the VOD app configuration, I've only changed the storage directory location. I don't recall having to do anything in particular in the application.xml to make HLS work before. Only had to get the URL right. Am I missing something here?

The default Application.xml for the VOD application has cupertinostreaming configured for playback to iOS devices. Which device and OS are you trying to play back on? What URL are you using? What profile was used to encode the stream?
