    Thumbs up How to create publishing ports in wowza

    hi,
    i have someone install wowza on my server 2003 standard edition but the guys is no more around and i want to start running the streaming myself but have no clue where to start,my main issue now is that the wowza is installed on my server but all ports before are not working what do i do?
    can i un-install and install new one?
    also how do i create new publishing ports?

    pls i need help.

    first

    try open your browser and test opening thsi address

    http://127.0.0.1:1935 or http://localhost:1935 , if you see Wowza SIgnature message, that means that you can stream at port 1935

    try to get your server ip and use another pc in the same network and open http://<server ip>:1935 , if you see the same message, means your server is accepting port 1935 for streaming

    And these are the ports Wowza uses that you have to allow through your firewall or might have to map in your network to the server that Wowza is running on.

    You may need to "port forward" at least port 1935 if your server is connected to a router.
