Default Get Total Visitor by streamname Possible?

Hi,
i have 1 wowza configure with origin and 4 servers configured with repeaters.

What is the best way to get the total of users by streamname (of all servers).

I need this feature because i need to control limit in lives.

For example:

The streamnameA support only 10 connection (but all repeater need to know the total of users).

Thanks
Mary

This is possible to change the loadbalancer addon to include the total of user by streamname.

this is a viable solution?

any other solution (i have a team that works with java)?

thanks

You can do it on each edge. Take a look at this guide:

I don't understand very well your response.

I have 4 repeaters (all have viewers viewing the streamA for example).

http://SERVER:8086/connectioncounts => Using this HTTP Service i can get total user by server and by streamname.

But if i want to know the total of all repeaters by streamname, any solutions or ideia..

Thanks

The Load Balancer will show connection counts for each edge, but by stream name.

http://[load-balancer-ip-address]:1935/loadbalancer?serverInfoXML
Be sure to enable the HTTPProvider as shown the Load Balancer package readme.

Hi this balancer show the totalconnection of each edge server (but i don't know ..total by streamname in a single endpoint)

Example:

http://[load-balancer-ip-address]:19...?serverInfoXML --> show only information about connection, but i need to know the totalconnection on each streams..

Thank's

Hi,
If you search for the AppName and StreamName you should be able to see connections per stream.

I'm now at url http://127.0.0.1:8086/serverinfo:
Example:

<Application>

vod

<Status>loaded</Status>
<TimeRunning>79.839</TimeRunning>
<ConnectionsCurrent>5</ConnectionsCurrent>
<ConnectionsTotal>5</ConnectionsTotal>
<ConnectionsTotalAccepted>5</ConnectionsTotalAccepted>
<ConnectionsTotalRejected>0</ConnectionsTotalRejected>
<ApplicationInstance>

_definst_

<TimeRunning>79.836</TimeRunning>
<ConnectionsCurrent>5</ConnectionsCurrent>
<ConnectionsTotal>5</ConnectionsTotal>
<ConnectionsTotalAccepted>5</ConnectionsTotalAccepted>
<ConnectionsTotalRejected>0</ConnectionsTotalRejected>
<RTMPConnectionCount>0</RTMPConnectionCount>
<RTPConnectionCount>5</RTPConnectionCount>
<CupertinoConnectionCount>0</CupertinoConnectionCount>
<SmoothConnectionCount>0</SmoothConnectionCount>
<SanJoseConnectionCount>0</SanJoseConnectionCount>
<RTMPSessionCount>0</RTMPSessionCount>
<HTTPSessionCount>0</HTTPSessionCount>
<RTPSessionCount>5</RTPSessionCount>
<RTPSession>
This section shows for the application called vod I have 5 RTSP connections and 0 for all the others.
For the connections per stream you can search for the file name in question.

Another example:

<Application>

vod

<Status>loaded</Status>
<TimeRunning>79.839</TimeRunning>
<ConnectionsCurrent>5</ConnectionsCurrent>
<ConnectionsTotal>5</ConnectionsTotal>
<ConnectionsTotalAccepted>5</ConnectionsTotalAccepted>
<ConnectionsTotalRejected>0</ConnectionsTotalRejected>
<ApplicationInstance>

_definst_

<TimeRunning>79.836</TimeRunning>
<ConnectionsCurrent>5</ConnectionsCurrent>
<ConnectionsTotal>5</ConnectionsTotal>
<ConnectionsTotalAccepted>5</ConnectionsTotalAccepted>
<ConnectionsTotalRejected>0</ConnectionsTotalRejected>
<RTMPConnectionCount>0</RTMPConnectionCount>
<RTPConnectionCount>5</RTPConnectionCount>

If I search in my web browser for "/mp4:sample.mp4" I can see I have 5 connections playing this particular stream.
