Thread: I am not able to secure RTMP publishing with password

Default I am not able to secure RTMP publishing with password

I have followed the instructions in:
    which are quite straightforward.

However, I am not able to stream with FMLE.
It popups a window asking for Username and Password. Then I enter the right login and pass but it displays an error message:
    "Invalid Username or Password"
    so it does not connect.

    The server side says:
    INFO server server-start Wowza Media Server 3 Monthly Edition 3.5.0 build2989 -
INFO server comment - Server License Key: SVRM3-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-x6Qme
INFO server comment - Wowza Media Server is started!
INFO server comment - ModuleRTMPAuthenticate.onAppStart: SecureToken is off
INFO server comment - ModuleRTMPAuthenticate.onAppStart: Authorization password file: /usr/local/WowzaMediaServer/conf/publish.password
    INFO application app-start _definst_ live-record/_definst_
    INFO session connect-pending xx.xx.xx.136 -
    INFO session connect xx.xx.xx.136 -
    INFO session disconnect 1562116966 -

I am sure that the user and password that I entered are the same as in conf/publish.password...

Please, could you give me any advice on what else to try?

    My mistake!

The problem was that even restarting the service with
    /etc/init.d/WowzaMediaServer start
there should be another instance running.
So I stopped them all with
    /etc/init.d/WowzaMediaServer stop
    and then start it again.
    And it works now.
    Thanks anyway!
