Default Encrypted Live Stream as input to wowza

    Hi Guys,

Does wowza support an input stream which is encrypted? if it does, would HLS and rtmp trickplay work?

    Regards,

    Ferdinand

Probably not, unless Wowza is involved in the encryption. Did you try it?

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any specification on which part of the stream should be left clear (unencrypted) in order for this to work? In some media servers pre-encryption would work fine as long as certain requirements are met. For example, some systems requires that PES headers or the beginning and the end of I-Frames are left clear.

I haven't tested it yet. I would like to get an opinion from you guys based on your experience, this would help me set-up the test environment.

These are the DRM options we support:

I do not think any of the DRM options support pre-encryption.

    Hi Richard,

Does the DRM options support encrypted RTSP live streaming?
or you know of any DRM platforms that does?

    Thanks.
