    Default ngrp problem?

    Hi,
    I couldn't stream using
http://wowza address:1935/Transcoder/ngrp:livestream_all/manifest.f4m in flash player eventhough all my settings meet requirements.
    Error log:
    HTTPStreamerSanJoseLiveIndex.indexPlaylist[Transcoder/_definst_/ngrp:livestream]: MediaList is empty

    Help to solve this

    Thanks,
    Divya

What player are you using? It requires the FlashHTTPPlayer Wowza example, or another OSMF 2 player.

And the Transcoder needs to be running and transcoding a stream named "livestream" in an application named "Transcoder"

    Thank you Richard,
I can stream "livestream" Transcoder in my flashHTTPPlayer(Strobemediaplayer 1.6 setup.html, wowza example Wowza Media Server 3.1.2/examples/SimpleVideoStreaming/clientOSMF/bin-release/SimpleOSMFPlayer.html) sometimes only. Sometimes I am getting error like this:
F4M document contains errors - URL missing from Media tag

Kindly let me know what's the reason for this and how to solve this?

If I play Transcoder using ngrp:livestream_all in FLashhttpplayer, It will be transcoding using a suitable bitrate. How to know at what url the transcoding has done?

In browser, the page http://wowzaaddress:1935/Transcoder/...l/manifest.f4m displays the following:

    <manifest xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/f4m/1.0">
    <id>livestream_all</id>
    <width>480</width>
    <height>360</height>
    <mimeType>video/mp4</mimeType>
    <streamType>live</streamType>

What does it mean? There are three bitrates(628,958,323) shown in the above page. How can I find in which bitrate(160p,720p,240p,360p) the transcoding is playing?

The Silverlight Wowza example shows this in the client. You won't find it in the Wowza logs. The Silverlight example is the best way with Wowza examples. There is an Expression 4 Encoder template that shows much info. And there is JW Player plugin that shows this kind of info for its RTMP Dynamic streaming

Hello, Im trying to use ngrp within apple devices but I cannot even see the server-side generated playlist.m3u8 file.

http://server:1935/4957/ngrp:STREAM_all/playlist.m3u8 (it comes empty, in fact it comes with just the headers.) like this:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXT-X-VERSION:3

BUT when I call the link with an specific transcoded stream like _160p without the NGRP tag, it works.

    #EXT-X-STREAM-INF:PROGRAM-ID=1,BANDWIDTH=368795,CODECS="avc1.66.21, mp4a.40.2",RESOLUTION=284x160
    chunklist_w1676159969.m3u8

    Am I doing anything wrong??

    Thanks.

If your source is a member of the StreamNameGroup, try removing it from the group and see if that works.
