Thread: mediacache problems character encoding

  1. #1

    Default mediacache problems character encoding

    I'm having some problems using mediacache and encode file path.

    Url decode:
    Pode Acreditar (Meu Laiá Laiá).mp3

    Problems with the character "á"

    Log wowza:

    MediaReaderH264Cupertino.indexFile[mediacache/_definst_/http/ Acreditar (Meu Lai? Lai?).mp3][mp4a.40.34]: Audio: {MediaCodecInfoAudio: codec:MP3, channels:0, frequency:0, samplesPerFrame:0, objectType:MPEG1LAYER3} - - - 1330.05 - - -

    "(Meu Lai? Lai?)"

    What is the best solution?

    Rename the file, replacing "á"?

    Maybe the player's html container needs utf-8 meta tag:

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>
