BigVEncoder for the desktop

I’ve finally released the desktop version of BigVEncoder and it is available for free downloading here:

http://bigvstudio.com/download/bve/

There is no documentation available yet, but there is a link to a quick start guide on the page as well as a link to the installation instructions.

This makes a nice alternative to Flash Media Live Encoder (FMLE) and is available for both Linux and Windows in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. (sorry, no Mac version yet because I don’t have a Mac to test with)

This works great with Wowza for streaming live video. And of course, it can do much more than just streaming live video. It can stream live audio to Icecast as well. You can use it to re-encode existing recorded videos. The source can come from an internet stream, a file, or a video/audio capture card or camera/microphone or any combination of video and audio sources. The destination can go to a live media server such as Wowza or to a file on disk. Many formats are supported since FFmpeg resides at its core. FFmpeg does not need to be installed on the computer, it is entirely embedded within the BigVEncoder installation.

Hi Maurice.

This url link works? http://bigvstudio.com/download/bve/

This is possible to send me this program for windows/linux.

Thank’s

This application looks like what I am looking for. I just find some missing points because I am not able to see user and password section.

The media server where I need to stream requires username and password.

Thanks.

Yes, the link works, however, the site is located on a server that blocks a lot of countries which are known for spamming and hacking. I plan to move the website to another server soon where the blocking can be a little less aggressive.

In the meantime, if you would send me a PM with your email address, I will email you a copy. Let me know which version you need, Linux 32-bit, Linux 64-bit, Windows 32-bit, or Windows 64-bit.

I just moved the website “bigvstudio.com” to a different server, one which allows most of the world to get access. So, anyone who was unable to download BigVEncoder for the desktop should be able to do so now.

Now it’s working…
