    Default transcoder looping

    Hi,

I want to configure the wowza transcoder to loop the same input video infinite times. Which xml file I need to modify to achieve this?

    regards
    Jason.

    Jason,

You can use the scheduler to start a stream and loop indefinitely:

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for your reply. I don't want to schedule input stream. It will be published on user request. I just want to know how to loop the stream indefinitely.

    regards
    Jason.

    Jason,

There isn't a built-in way to do this. You could involve an RTMP client that responds to the Netstream.onPlayStatus event handler, listen for "NetStream.Play.Complete" notification, then start playback again.

You might have to monitor the buffer to make sure playback is cut off at the end. The webcamRecording example demonstrates how to do that.

Also for Flash RTMP clients only, you can string together many videos for vod playback:

You can add many in this way, but not infinite loop.

    Hi,

Thank you Richard. That doesn't solve my issues. I will find a workaround for that.
