Thread: Live stream from server-to-origin (not from encoder-to-origin)

  1. #1

Question Live stream from server-to-origin (not from encoder-to-origin)

Is it feasible to bring a live stream from an "cloud" origin-edge installation to an origin-edge "on-premises" installation? I mean, to feed an origin server with a source stream from an origin-edge servers installation - and not straight from an encoder?

You might be able to re-stream following this guide:

Thanks a lot, but does the .stream file support only RTMP "source"? Or should i use others protocols (i.e. "HTTP" based) as source too?

    Hi
The .stream file supports RTMP, RTSP, UDP and HTTP (for Shoutcast streams).
