    Default RTMPT fallback and smil problem

    Hi guys,

    I've a problem with rtmpt fallback on port 80 in case of port 1935 is blocked by firewalls.

    I edited the Vhost.xml and added the port 80, no problem.

    When I play a VOD (just one video) the fallback works very well. (I use JWPlayer)

    But when I try to play a VOD with multiple bitrates (so with a smil manifest), it works on port 1935 but fails on port 80.

    This is my code who works for one video:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/jwplayer/jwplayer.js"></script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="player"></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        jwplayer("player").setup({
           playlist: [{
    		image: "http://xxxxxxxxx/cluses.JPG",
    		sources: [
    			{file: "rtmp://wowzaip/vod/mp4:cluses720p.mp4"},
         			],
    	}]
        });
    </script>
    </body>
    </html>

    The code who doesn't works with smil file:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/jwplayer/jwplayer.js"></script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="player"></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        jwplayer("player").setup({
           playlist: [{
    		image: "http://xxxxxxxxx/cluses.JPG",
    		sources: [
    			{file: "http://wowzaip/vod/smil:cluses.smil/jwplayer.smil"},
         			],
    	}]
        });
    </script>
    </body>
    </html>
    <smil>
    	<head>
    		<meta base="rtmp://wowzaip/vod/" />
    	</head>
    	<body>
    		<switch>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses720p.mp4" system-bitrate="1693000" height="720"/>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses480p.mp4" system-bitrate="1242000" height="480"/>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses360p.mp4" system-bitrate="792000" height="360"/>
    		</switch>
    	</body>
    </smil>

    Any idea ?

    Thanks

    Hi
    Try adding port 80 to the .smil file and see if multi-bitrate works with that configuration
    <smil>
    	<head>
    		<meta base="rtmp://wowzaip:80/vod/" />
    	</head>
    	<body>
    		<switch>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses720p.mp4" system-bitrate="1693000" height="720"/>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses480p.mp4" system-bitrate="1242000" height="480"/>
    			<video src="mp4:cluses360p.mp4" system-bitrate="792000" height="360"/>
    		</switch>
    	</body>
    </smil>
    This will help narrow down the problem.
    If you can't stream multi-bitrate using a .smil file on port 80 it's a different problem to fall back not working on port 80.

    I have a similar problem.

    How do I get :80 to be generated when I send "http://blueprintpreponline.co:80/Video2Adaptive/smil:LR_PT45_Sec4_5.smil/jwplayer.smil"?

    I get back :

    <smil>
    <head>
    <meta base="rtmp://blueprintpreponline.co/iOSExp/_definst_"/>
    </head>
    <body>
    <switch>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_200k.mp4" system-bitrate="100000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_400k.mp4" system-bitrate="800000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_700k.mp4" system-bitrate="1400000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_1200k.mp4" system-bitrate="2500000"/>
    </switch>
    </body>
    </smil>

    I added the meta base mentioned above and got this back:
    <smil>
    <head>
    <meta base="rtmp://blueprintpreponline.co/iOSExp/_definst_"/>
    </head>
    <body>
    <switch>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_200k.mp4" system-bitrate="100000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_400k.mp4" system-bitrate="800000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_700k.mp4" system-bitrate="1400000"/>
    <video src="mp4:LR_PT45_Sec4_#5_1200k.mp4" system-bitrate="2500000"/>
    </switch>
    </body>
    </smil>

    It totally ignored my addtion.
    I really need this to stream from "rtmp://blueprintpreponline.co:80/iOSExp/_definst_"

    I edited my smil, I do not know how to get to jwplayer.smil, it appears to be generated using mine and adding in the meta base, ignoring my needs completely.

    How can this be accomplished?
