    Question Measure latency

    Hi,

    Is it possible to measure the latency between a Wowza server and a flash client?

    If you're worried about the latency between the source/encoder and playback of the steam it can be reduced by editing the StreamType to live-lowlatency in the Application.xml.

    I'm not sure if there is a tool you can measure the latency with but if you can log onto the PC which the encoder is connected and play the stream you should be able to gauge the delay from publish to playback.

    Hi Jason,

    Thank you for your answer.
    The config of our application is already set to live-lowlatency.
    We just want to get some insight in the latency. Because we have some long distance connection and we like to known what happens to the latency.
