Default Publishing HTTP (RTP over HTTP) stream to Wowza

    Hi,

Assume we a have a device that could publish Live RTP over HTTP.
It also called Tunnel RTP over HTTP.
    https://developer.apple.com/quicktim...spatch028.html

I couldn't find if this type of stream could be published on WOWZA Media Server.

    My question:
How to publish HTTP (RTP over HTTP) stream to WOWZA?

    Corresponding with WOWZA spec:
    Wowza supports:

    Muxer/Encapsulators:
    MPEG-TS, RTP

    Transport:
    UDP, RTSP

    Some words about VLC:

Using VLC as transcoder isn't a good idea.
VLC consumes a lot of CPU and RAM.
VLC is suitable for "home" not for enterprise use.

    Any ideas appreciated
    Thanks

    Sam,

No, sorry, Wowza does not support live incoming RTP stream over HTTP. VLC or another transcoder would be necessary.
