Default iOS and Android livestream support

    Hello,

Im super new to wowza, and after fighting with until 6am I was able to re-stream video from an IP-Camera following this tutorial http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....-re-streaming)

So the stream is working wonders on JW player! but when I tried to play it on ipad it says "no playable source found"...

According to the tutorial by just adding "playlist.m3u8" to the end of the url should work? http://[wowza-ip-address]:1935/live/.../playlist.m3u8

    I tried and nothing..

do I have to create another stream or add something to the settings to support iOS and Android?

    Thank you!

    Hi
In the [Wowza-Install]/conf/[App]/Application.xml you will need to add cupertinostreamingpacketizer to the LiveStreamPacketizers
    <LiveStreamPacketizers>cupertinostreamingpacketizer</LiveStreamPacketizers>

    Hi Jason,

Thank you for the reply, my application.xml already has cupertinostreamingpacketizer, it reads like this
     <LiveStreamPacketizers>cupertinostreamingpacketizer,smoothstreamingpacketizer,sanjosestreamingpacketizer</LiveStreamPacketizers>
    should I delete "smoothstreamingpacketizer,sanjosestreamingpacketizer"?

    Thank you,
    Marcos

You can take them out if not being used.

Make sure you are streaming h.264 video and AAC or MP3 audio. If the audio is mp3 it should be 44100Hz, and 64 or 128kbs

Use rtsp to stream to Android.

If you are still having trouble, post your JW Player embedding code.

    Hi,

That message possibly means that you have not set the stream type to live in your Application.xml file.

    Hi
    @ Vinodkumarc
Is the live stream encoded with AAC or MP3 audio and H.264 video?
Apple iOS only supports AAC and MP3 audio and H.264 video.

Are you also using an IP camera and the JWPlayer?
What link are you trying to use, to play the content on the iOS device?
Does the stream fail when trying to play it live or when trying to play the recorded files?
Do you have an application configured for video on demand streaming to play the recorded files?
