Default Using both ModuleCupertinoLiveOnTextToID3 and the PushPublishing AddOn

    Hello.

We're trying to configure things so that AMF tags in an incoming stream are converted to ID3 tags by Wowza, that stream should then be transcoded to MP4 and then published using the PushPublish module.

My question is, how can we set this up ?
Is it possible to just refer to each module and Wowza will take care of chaining the modules together ?
Or is it necessary to configure output and input streams for the intermediate modules ? (if so, how would we go about doing that ?)

At the moment we have listed all the modules in turn in the config file, and we see some debug statements from ModuleCupertinoLiveOnTextToID3 in the logs.
We don't however see any evidence of these tags in the mp4 output (instead we see the original AMF tags)... it is as if the modules are running independently of each other.

Follow this guide to convert to ID3
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....le-HTTP-stream

And this is the PushPublish addon:

Yes, you can add multiple Modules to layer functionality.

Thanks Richard, that is the forum post we've been using ('How to convert OnTextData events in a live or vod stream to timed events (ID3 tags) in an Apple HTTP stream')

What we're trying to do is to both convert these events to ID3 and have those tags present in the outgoing mp4 file.
Our understanding of that module is that it will convert and output as m3u8, is that the case ?

Is it possible to output mp4+ID3 using Wowza (if so, could you tell us how we can do that ?)

    thanks,

    Matt

I don't think this is supported. Can you explain the requirement, why you need it? The .mp4 file has the onTextData if it was recorded with the stream with IMediaStream.sendDirect()

Thanks Richard. I'm glossing over a few details Here's the full story.

We're using CloudFront and so we are sending the output of Wowza to Flash Media Server, then onto cloud front.

At the other side, we'll have iOS, Android and web devices pulling from CloudFront.

We need id3 tags in the stream for the benefit of iOS - so although we can connect directly to Wowza's m3u8 and see these tags, we need to be able to see them @ CloudFront.

Our understanding is that the output from Wowza -> FMS is the SanJose stream - so we think we somehow need to insert tags into that or else somehow send the m3u8 to it.

As we can't see an equivalent to IHTTPStreamerCupertinoLivePacketizerDataHandler for the SanJose stream we're not sure how to proceed (or even if what we want to do is possible).

What are our options at this point ?

I do not think that this will work or be useful anyway if it does. Someone will follow up directly about other options.
