Default Live streaming from Tricaster to Wowza

I'm a beginner just starting to use both a Tricaster 350 along with Wowza. We have successfully setup a Live streeaming session using RTMP and even created our own flash player link that worls great on the PC's. What I'm confused and having a problem with is getting the stream to play efficiently on iOS devices, namely iPads. I am able to play the stream using the URL of http://<wowza server>:1935/live/mystream/playlist.m3u8, however the stream is close to a minute behind if not longer and whenever i close the ipad connection and reconnect or even connect another iPad, it does not start from there live stream currently is but rather at some previous point in time. So i'm not sure if this normal behavior or I am doing something wrong? Also does anyone have any best practices when live streaming from a Tricaster to Wowza to both pc's and iOs devices? what profiles work best? etc. Thank you in advance for any information!

First, you probably need to add "cupertinostreamingpacketizer" to the /conf/live/Application.xml /Streams /LiveStreamPacketizers

Regarding latency, take a look at this guide:
    http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....tinostreaming)

Try 2 second key frame frequency (set in encoder) and cupertinoChunkDurationTarget "2000", for example.

Thank you Richard! With that info I now have gotten the latency down to around 7 seconds on iOS devices which for the most part I feel is more than adequate since the users streaming the feed won't know the difference anyway.

Great, glad it's working. Thanks for the update,
