Default Using a CDN between WOwza servers?

Is it possible to have Wowza (origin server) stream a live HLS stream to a CDN, then have a Wowza (edge server) pull the live HLS stream from the CDN... then distribute HLS streams to various HLS compatible devices?

    Thx,

You might be able to use HTTP Origin:

This requires a caching infrastructure on the CDN side. Check with them for support.

Thx, I have Richard. The problem seems to be the last step. We can go Wowza Origin server to CDN OK, but I keep getting an error trying to pull the stream into the Wowza Edge server. It doesn't matter if I try on the Wowza edge to call using http, ow Wowza, it always seems to try to call using port 1935... and as we know if has to be port 80.

Sorry I meant on the edge server, it doesn't matter if I configure the origin to be an http:// server or a wowz://server, the error is always NetConnectionConnection.connect: Failed to connect[CDNName:1935]: org.apache.mina.common.RuntimeIOException: Failed to get the session[ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information].

Ah, no, you can't pull an HLS stream with a Wowza edge. You have to use rtmp and Live Stream Repeater:

You can stream to HLS clients from the edge with this configuration.

What about Wowza to CDN with HLS? I'm able to do that, but the HLS stream from the CDN keeps freezing. Could that be the http pipelining bug?
