Question Changes in Livestreamrecord* from 3.1.2 to 3.5.2?

I have been running some tests with a 'custom' control page for several months now.

Here is an image of my example page, I'm sure you will find it familiar:

When I verify the fields have the values I want and click 'submit' with -startRecording- selected, I used to get this in the frame/field below:
    startRecording aps

And if I would re-submit with -stopRecording- selected, I would get:
    stopRecording aps

Now, however, I get what appears to be the contents of '*' loading IN the frame itself, like in this image:

Aside from being confusing and difficult to view/interact with, this becomes unworkable if I try to initiate recording from the link within the frame -- it loads the resulting form inside the frame in an unusable manner.

What happened across versions? What did I miss in how this behavior changed? My configuration files are the same.
