    Question SecureToken is not working

    For SecureToken, I added to Application.xml:
    --------------------------------------------

    In modules:
    -----------
    <Module>
    <Name>ModuleSecureToken</Name>
    <Description>ModuleSecureToken</Description>
    <Class>com.wowza.wms.security.ModuleSecureToken</Class>
    </Module>

    Added to the application-level <Properties> container at the bottom of the Application.xml
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    <Property>
    <Name>secureTokenSharedSecret</Name>
    <Value>#ed%h0#w@1</Value>
    </Property>

    Client side:

    added token to the "secure token field" in JWplayer 6

    Restarted wowza, also tried restart of whole server..

    Nothing happens. I can play the stream from other servers and sites...

    Can anybody help?

    regards

    Bison,

    I'm not sure about that method. It should work, but would not be very good security. It is more difficult but much better security to bake the token into the player by re-compiling the source code. We have guidance for JW Player 5, but it should be basically the same for JW Player 6, though file names and locations might be different. You just have to find the NetStatusEvent handler for the NetConnection.

    Hi Richard
    Thanks for the input, but if you look away from the player....when I have activated the securetoken module on the server, trying to play it on other servers should not be possible, so the module dont work at all!

    Please advise

    regards

    Bison,

    Re-start Wowza, then test again, then zip up and send the /conf folder and current access and error logs to support@wowza.com

    Include a link to this thread for reference.
